A fellowship of intentional Christian communities in Detroit, MI
To fulfill our commitment to "radical community" emergedetroit nurtures households, villages, and cooperatives of people in intentional Christian communities across the City of Detroit. Each designs its own culture of spiritual practices, deep discipleship, and justice work in their neighborhood and seeks to be an authentic local expression of the broader body of Christ.
Regular gatherings and conversations among the Detroit Villages seek to encourage each other in the faith and in our common pursuit of missional living. Some communities are founded with explicit connections to local congregations or anchor churches, other communities join into the fellowship after launching on their own. Together the Detroit Villages participate in the worldwide movement of intentional communities through our support of Consp!re Magazine and other global conversations.
