Join Kim Rice (Youth & Young Adult Minister of Metropolitan UMC) and young adults from around Detroit for food, fellowship, conversation, study, and artistic expression. Bring a dish to pass and your own Bible. If you'd like to share poetry, music, dance, etc. be prepared to do that as well!

Bible Study Thanksgiving Day 2012
Ballroom & Bible Study, Thursday, February 7th
Using the same format as the weekly Bible studies, this particular week we will be hosting Bible Study at Metropolitan United Methodist Church, located at 8000 Woodward in Detroit in Kresge Auditorium. The session will kick off with refreshments and a potluck at 6 pm. Please bring a dish to pass. Then Bible study will begin at 7 pm, followed by Ballroom lessons. Bring your dancing shoes and invite your friends! This should be a fun evening! It is free and open to the community!

On February 27, 2013, ten missionaries will be departing from the Metro Detroit area to Jeremie, Haiti for a 9 day Mission Experience. Amongst those 10 is Kim Rice, who leads the weekly Metro Arts & Bible study at her home in Detroit. She and two others will be teaching praise dance to young ladies in Haiti, and also sharing the gift of praise dance Sunday in a church in Jeremie.
Please keep Kim Rice and the mission team in prayer. There will be a 40 days of prayer brochure available online at metroumc.org. Before her departure, Kim's Bible study on February 21st will also be a send-off party and celebration for her.
